Riding Off: Taken during a photo shoot for a rodeo program cover i was making. This is my trainer and her horse. I was laying on the ground and I got this awesome angle! Love how the black and white looks and I am very proud of this one!

My name is Cara, I'm 18 and art is a BIG part of my life. i have been drawing horses for several years because they are important to me and i find their beauty to great for words to explain. i have begun to brodden my horizens in hope to grow as an artist and in turn grow as a person.
Photography i have also been taking pictures for years and finnaly feel confident enough to show people my photography. i have very little training in it but i enjoy taking them and love how some will turn out! All of the photos i have right now have been shot with a simple Nikon point and shoot. i am hoping to get a new camera so i can grow and get better.
i also enjoy coding HTML so i use some CSS on my page and bio section just for fun!

Current Residence: Texas

Favourite genre of music: country and anything but most rap

Favourite style of art: realism

MP3 player of choice: my old cheapy that runs on AAA batteries (not even the rechargable ones)

Personal Quote: there is no true normal, outgoing crazy and free, drive it like ya stolll it

Favorite Colors: Purple Black & Blue

i have saved up quite a bit of money and i'm ready to take the plunge in to a new camera. I have looked at the Nikon D5100 (I just love it so far). and the Canon Rebel T3i. I have never shot with a Canon but i have been told it is a good camera. If I could afford to go a bit above I really love the Nikon D7000 but i would have to save up a lot longer to get that camera!

So now i need y'all's help! What brand (not just the two i have looked at) would you recommend? And what model?

This is a really important choice because of the price and i cant just go buy another when ever I want. I have to love this camera and i would love if some one who has shot with one or know s of a better one would be willing to lend me a hand and give there opinion.

Please help me! I want to make the best pick possible!!
